Coaches and other parent volunteers will need to complete the volunteer form and submit it to a Live Scan records/background check. Once your child is placed in a team, Per PAL standards there is no refund and your fee will go to PAL as a donation.

Welcome to Rosegarden District 9

 

Please register below on the green button to create an account with San Jose PAL once your registration is complete you will be contacted regarding the placement of your child on a team in August.

 

Registration Includes:

*Uniform: Jersey, Shorts, and Socks

*Team and player photo donated by Len Weise Photography- Have in mind that we encourage our parents to purchase additional items

*Supplemental Liability insurance- Injury must be reported to the league within 24 hours

 

Parents need to provide:

*Shinguards

Cleats are recommended not required.

 

Games and practice time are the last step in the process of organizing our league Coaches chose practice times, usually early evening or late afternoon on weekdays. Coaches are all-volunteers. 

Volunteers are critical to our success teams parent responsibilities vary by the team/coach. Mostly it involves coordinating team activities like game day treats, team pictures, parties, coach thank you, etc.

 

- PAL IS OPEN TO BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 4 THROUGH 17

- PRACTICES START IN EARLY AUGUST

- GAMES ARE PLAYED EVERY SATURDAY

- GAMES WILL START ON AUGUST 27, 2022

- NO GAMES DURING LABOR DAY WEEKEND

- U17 EOS October 29 - 30

- Regular EOS November 12 - 13

U-6 & U-8 Play

- The number of players: maximum 7; minimum 5.

- Size 3 ball.

- U-6 four 8-minute quarters.

- U-8 four 10-minute quarters.

- All free kicks are indirect.

- No penalty kicks.

- Throw-in fouls: a repeat of throw-in is allowed once only.

- No offside penalties ( except for "camping at goal").

- Substitution is permitted only at quarter breaks and for an injured player.

- No sliding.

- U-8 any player given a yellow card must leave the field until the next legal substitution.

- U-8 any player, coach, or spectator is given a red card (ejected) and must leave the field.

- A player may be suspended based on the referee's report.

- The mercy rule is applied.

U-10 Play:

- The number of players: maximum 9; minimum 7.

- Size 4 ball.

- Two 25-minute periods.

- All free kicks are indirect.

- No penalty kicks.

- Substitution is permitted on own throw-in, any goal kick, before kick-off, and for an injured player.

- No repeat for a bad throw-in.

- FIFA offside rules apply.

- Sliding O.K. if done properly.

- A player given a yellow card must leave the field until the next legal substitution.

- A player may be suspended based on the referee's report.

- The mercy rule is applied.

- U15 & Up: Size 5 ball

- U12 Two 30-minute halves.

- U15 Two 35-minute halves.
